To ensure growth, learning and resiliency of all students, the Central Kentucky Educational Cooperative (CKEC) will provide a network of resources, support, and advocacy to maximize innovative, courageous leadership in member districts.
WKEC is one of eight educational cooperatives formed by the Kentucky General Assembly in 1976 to optimize district expenditures for goods and services. Since that time, WKEC's services – provided by a staff of 60 – have expanded to include teacher professional development, administrator training, special and adult education, grant writing, and unified purchasing.
The Ohio Valley Educational Cooperative (OVEC) is a consortium of 15 school districts serving over 155,000 students in north central Kentucky. Established in 1976, the cooperative provides a vehicle for conducting regional planning, development, and implementation of educational programs on a continuing basis. KEDC provides support and adds value to our member districts through a united spirit of cooperation and innovation. With 67 member districts statewide and over 50 years of service KEDC is Kentucky’s oldest and largest educational cooperative. KEDC exists to provide educational support services for its members. Types of services provided: technology wiring, full collective bidding services, special education support, professional development opportunities for all school employees, adult education services, leadership development, and more.
